What is Daily Family devotion?
It is also called family worship. It is when the whole family gathers together and worships The Lord together with prayer, and Bible reading.
And family devotion is not something you do once a week, it must be on daily basis, and also it is only not something that father alone must do with his wife, it includes every member of the family.
Average Christian homes do not have family worship in their family. Sometimes, the father wakes up early to go to work, and sometimes the wife wakes up early to go to work, so they failed to have time together as a family for the altar.

It is not healthy for your home if you failed to have a daily family devotion together. When do you have family worship?
It is not limited to any time of the day, but I will prefer first thing in the morning because it shows how much you are willing to put God first in your life.
It means that you need God to carry you through the journey of the day. Family devotion carries power if you are willing to do the work.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV)

In the Bible, many a great man had a family altar, Noah had a family altar with his family, Joshua had a family altar with his family, and many other great Christians in the New Testament church.

It unites the family together
Whenever there is a family altar, it brings the family together as one. Unity in the home is very essential, and the family altar does that for you. Whenever you see a home without unity, you must know that a family altar is missing in that home.
How pleasant is it for the family to dwell together in unity? It is awesome and amazing. Your children will be happy, and you will be happy too.
It helps settle misunderstandings in the home
This has really helped my home a lot. Whenever there is a lack of communication between me and my wife, immediately I asked her to come to the family devotion everything is settled.
It helps to let go of any misunderstanding when you pray and read Bible together in your home.
It tells your children how much you love the Lord.
Sometimes parents think their children are not watching what they do. If you pretend to be who you are not, sooner or later, your children will discover, and your hypocrisy will be put to shame.
So when you gather together with your children and have family worship, you are sowing the seeds into their lives, and when you are out of a scene, then they can continue with what you have left for them.
And the word of God that you have sown in their will always be remembered. Your labor is not in vain, and you will surely reap what you have sown.
It helps the fear of God to grow in the heart of your children.
The fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The word of God will put that fear in the heart.
The daily family devotion must be an important thing that family must fully get involved, it helps my home, and if you do the same, it will help your home too.
