In this passage of the scripture, Christ gave us an example of how our prayer life should be, we should have a persistence prayer life.
But unfortunately, it is when we are in the storm that some of us learn how to pray which is a good thing also, but we should not only pray when we are in the storm, but we need to pray more when we are calmed. We should not only have prayer points, but we need to have prayer life.
In this article, I want you understand the importance of praying persistently for your spouse, and the daily effective prayer points for that you can use in your prayer life. I believe that prayers should be natural being guarded by the Holy Spirit.

There are some who are learning to pray, and they will need help on how to pray effectively and what they can use persistently in their prayer time. Every married person needs to pray for his spouse, because everyone needs prayer. We are all in this spiritual warfare together, we need prayer not only to safe guard us, but also to help us learn to be more closer to our God.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

- God should help your spouse to Love Him
There are so many worldly attraction in the world today, and it takes a spouse who love the Lord that would not be deceived by the things around him.Therefore, you need to pray that his love for the Lord will grow more and more. And if he is not a Christian, your number one prayer request is for him to be saved. I believe that you would not want your spouse to die and go to Hell.
- God should help your spouse to fulfill the God given obligation.
Bible commands husband and wife to love one another, and you prayer requests should be on God helping him/her to fulfill his role and duty and vice versa. - God should should help your spouse to love the children.
This is really important. Some spouse stay together because they feared that if they separate, they future of the children is in mess.
4.God should help your spouse to be strong physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritual.
You know the implication of all these things, if they are not there, the home will be in problem.
- God should keep the intruder out of your marital home.
God hears and answers prayers when his children hearken to his word, and do what he says.
If you are praying that God keep the intruders out of your marriage, then don’t play around the wrong people that will intrude into your home, and destroy it.
Effective prayer life is the desire to know God himself. And this is where our prayer life should be. And I pray that the Lord would give you the desire of your heart according to his will.
These prayer points are needed daily in our our home, it will make husband and wife stronger, and their home godly to the glory of God
